A Waunakee man convicted of reckless homicide for beating his 11-week-old son to death was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision. David A. Roberts, 21, pleaded no contest to first-degree reckless homicide for the Feb. 12 death of his son, Aaron, under a plea agreement. Prosecutors reduced an initial charge of first-degree intentional homicide, which carries a mandatory life sentence.
