BEVERLEY SMITH Globe and Mail Update The $2.6-million Rogers Cup suffered another rain delay late Thursday afternoon, just as Dmitry Tursunov of Russia and James Blake of the United States were battling in the their third set. The event was called at about 4:30 p.m, but by 6:40 p.m. players were back on the court and warming up. Blake, ranked eighth in the world lost the first set to Tursunov (ranked 30th), but stormed back in the second set to win 6-1. Blake was leading the third set by one game before the event was called. The tournament's top-ranked player, Rafael Nadal, was scheduled to play at 7:30 p.m. Nadal finished a doubles match at 12:54 a.m. early Thursday morning - and lost it.
