MIO, a provider of mobile communication services in the Dutch, French and British Caribbean, announced the launch of International Short Messaging Services (SMS) in the Dutch Caribbean markets. According to company officials, the new SMS service allows any MIO subscriber in the Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao Islands to send messages to people around the world. MIO Subscribers can now send SMS text messages by addressing their message to a recipient's wireless phone number. "With this new service, MIO subscribers now have the ability to message worldwide with over four hundred and fifty wireless networks which include networks in the US, Canada, South America, Asia and key European Markets," stated Barbara Sullivan -- Roaming Product Manager at the MIO Group.
