Police stop in Hattiesburg finds cocaine stash

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Police say an officer's decision to pull over a pickup truck in Hattiesburg for a routine traffic violation led to the discovery of a stash of cocaine. Police said in a statement that 35-year-old Carlixta R. Meloreyes of Decatur, Georgia, and 49-year-old Rogelio Saenz of San Antonio, Texas, were charged with possession of about 37 kilograms of powdered cocaine after being stopped Wednesday.
