Bridges returns to Carlisle

Striker joins on season-long loan from Hull Carlisle United have signed striker Michael Bridges on a season-long loan from Hull. The 29-year-old played for Carlisle earlier in his career before joining the Tigers in 2006. However, he was unable to establish himself as a regular starter and spent six months of last term in Australia with Sydney FC. Phil Brown has been busy strengthening his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign and has decided that Bridges will not be needed.
