Lurking beneath the chic business attire of Gotham City’s mayor is The Dark Knight ’s wonkiest superhero. As one of today's Gotham City characters, Donald Trump, might put it: "The Dark Knight is huuuuu-ge." At the box office, it has demolished numerous records including biggest one-day gross, biggest three-day opening, biggest non-holiday Monday and biggest IMAX opening. Meanwhile, the late Heath Ledger's diabolical turn as the Joker has already in some circles been crowned the de facto winner of the 2008 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
