Loosely defined, Generation Y encompasses those born in the 1980's through mid 1990s, a generation raised on the success of their Boomer parents with cellphones, video games and the Internet. Gen Xers may have kicked off the digital age, but it is Gen Y that has defined it; they are constantly linked to their e-tribe, have developed their own text language — OMG, LOL — and are poised to enter the workforce with expectations far removed from the Protestant work ethic.
