KRT) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jul. 24--VISALIA -- More than three months after losing commercial airline service, Visalia will regain passenger flights Sept. 8 when Great Lakes Aviation begins flying to Ontario International Airport. Great Lakes announced its schedule this week for flights from Merced and Visalia to the Southern California airport. The schedule calls for two round trips each day between Visalia and Ontario aboard 19-seat Beechcraft 1900 twin-turboprop airplanes. The airplane can cover the 186-mile distance in about 45 minutes. "I think it's fantastic," said Mario Cifuentez, manager of the Visalia Municipal Airport.
