July 24 - Many Alabama county leaders are in Mobile for a two-day economic summit to learn more about the myriad of projects coming to the Port City. Nearly two dozen county commissioners will attend the economic seminar. The event will focus on the ThyssenKrupp Steel Plant coming to north Mobile County and how the area is preparing for the growth expected by the mill's arrival. County leaders will also discuss Mobile's growth plan and be updated on the KC-45 tanker contract. Other areas of interest for the summit will include a tour of Brookley Field, the new Mobile Container Terminal, and the SaltAire Community.
