Simon D'Ujanga explained that the 50 mega watts heavy-fuel thermal plant and a new sub-station at Namanve, near Kampala, would provide electricity for the Kampala Industrial Park and also bridge the electricity shortfall. "This plant will start generating electricity by the end of August. Works are almost done and they are in the process to start testing the machines," the minister, said. "When the plant is commissioned in August, this will mean that daytime load-shedding will be minimised."
