Wyndham organizers hope for more big names

Posted: Today at 4:01 a.m. Updated: 53 minutes ago GREENSBORO, N.C. — Brandt Snedeker received a considerable boost to his FedEx Cup points total for winning last year's Wyndham Championship. It looks like some big names have noticed. Among the players who have committed to play this year include Vijay Singh, the 10th-ranked player in the world, and Rocco Mediate, who took Tiger Woods to a 19th playoff hole before finishing second at the U.S. Open. Part of the reason could be because of Snedeker. His first career victory came last August at Forest Oaks Country Club and vaulted him 17 spots on the points list.
