Thursday July 24, 7:00 am ET ELYRIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Invacare Corporation (NYSE: IVC - News ) today announced its financial results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2008. CONSOLIDATED RESULTS Earnings per share on a GAAP basis for the second quarter were $0.20 ($6.3 million net earnings) as compared to earnings per share for the same period last year of $0.00 ($0.1 million net earnings). Adjusted earnings per share(a) were $0.22 for the second quarter of 2008 as compared to adjusted earnings per share(a) for the same period last year of $0.14. Adjusted net earnings(b) for the quarter were $7.0 million versus $4.3 million last year.
