All-American DE will see some time at linebacker By ALEXANDER PYLES • The News Journal • July 24, 2008 BALTIMORE -- Matt Marcorelle, when healthy, has been one of the top defensive ends in Division I-AA football. The 6-foot-2, 250 pound, 2007 All-American recorded 64 tackles and eight sacks last season. He also set a University of Delaware record by forcing five fumbles. This season, coaches may have found a way to make his impact on the game even greater. Marcorelle, the anchor on a Blue Hen defense, will occasionally line up at outside linebacker, a position he has not played regularly since his years at John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce, Fla.
