Digital radio listening hours have stayed flat quarter on quarter but are up year on year, according to the latest data from Rajar. Rajar’s Quarter Two figures show that 17.9 per cent of all radio listening is via a digital platform and this compares with 12.8 per cent in Q2 2007. Listening via the DAB platform has barely risen quarter on quarter and now stands at 11 per cent, up from 10.8 per cent last quarter. Ownership of sets has stayed the same quarter on quarter with 27.3 per cent saying they own a DAB receiver. Listening to radio via a digital platform remains constant at 31 per cent of the population compared to 31.4 per cent last quarter.
