The European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP) on Thursday said it is also concerned about the alleged car smuggling activities in Port Irene, Cagayan, which was pointed out by the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (AmCham) earlier this week. This came after Senator Juan Ponce Enrile chastised the AmCham on Wednesday for linking Port Irene - part of Enrile's home province of Cagayan - to the illegal activity. "Foreign chambers at large, especially the Japanese, American, and European chambers, are deeply concerned about rampant smuggling of cars in the country," the ECCP said.
