SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - A car chased in Sheboygan at speeds up to 80 mph had an infant in the back seat. The 46-year-old Sheboygan man at the wheel was reported to have left a service station early Wednesday without paying for his gasoline. A police sergeant driving through the parking lot was informed about it, spotted the car on a street in the area and gave chase. Police say the man went through red lights and stop signs and eventually crashed into a parked van. He was treated for a facial injury. Police Sgt. Tom Tuszynski says the 7-month-old infant was in a safety seat and unharmed. Police are seeking charges that include theft, drunken driving and recklessly endangering safety.
