Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jul. 24--For 17-year-old Elizabeth Lindstrom, high gas prices mean buying only what she really needs and shopping discounters instead of her favorite specialty stores. Like many teenagers, the Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School senior says she's being hit by the current economy. "I'm feeling gas prices a lot. I'm definitely cutting back, especially since I'm trying to go to college," said Lindstrom. "Also with people downsizing, it's so hard to find a job." Lindstrom says she's now cautious about what she buys, thinking twice about whether she really needs something. "I shop Target because it's cheaper," she said. "I used to go to American Eagle a lot.
