With a contract in hand to run a school district with 30,000 students in California, Greeley's existing superintendent's time in Greeley is down to a matter of days as district officials prepare to move on without her. On Tuesday night, Renae Dreier, head of Greeley-Evans School District 6, accepted the superintendent position with Orange Unified School District, in Orange County, Calif. She will make $750,000 over her three-year contract. In a handwritten letter to the District 6 school board, Dreier wrote: "While I am very excited about this new position, please be assured that I will miss District 6 and the Greeley community."
