Black Cats to continue Spurs raid

Sunderland's raid on Tottenham's fringe players was set to continue on Thursday after Teemu Tainio became Roy Keane's first summer signing. The 28-year-old Finland midfielder completed his move from White Hart Lane last night after signing a three-year deal. Tainio was set to be joined on Wearside on Thursday by Pascal Chimbonda, with Spurs team-mates Steed Malbranque and Younes Kaboul expected to follow. Sunderland have agreed fees for all three, with personal terms and medicals the only stumbling blocks remaining.
