Noadswood School film success

BILINGUAL school pupils from Hampshire are celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious national film award. The youngsters from Noadswood School in Dibden Purlieu made a short film to promote the benefits of learning a language through film. The Languages and Film Talent Awards (LAFTAs) organised the competition for 13-21-year-olds with a host of celebrity judges including Sir Trevor McDonald and comedian Eddie Izzard. Young people were invited to submit two-minute films illustrating why it is important to learn a language, with entries ranging from being lost in a foreign country, meeting the love of your life, to being attacked by sharks, cannibals or dragons.
