Group will spend $1.6 million to lure business to park By MIKE ELSWICK Thursday, July 24, 2008 The Longview Economic Development Corp. board Wednesday approved spending up to $1.6 million to construct a new speculative shell building in the Longview Business Park. Final plans for the 47,100-square-foot structure are expected to be presented to the board in late August by the Longview firm of James R. Hugman Architecture and Construction. Board member Dan Droege, chairman of a committee working on the project, said soil test results on the site were received this week. "We hope to get the rest of the cost estimates in within the next week or so now we have those test results," Droege said.
