HARRISONBURG - SI International Inc., an information technology and network solutions company with an office in Harrisonburg, plans to buy Arrowpoint Co., an IT services provider for the federal government, for $16 million in cash. Founded in 2000, Alexandria-based Arrowpoint provides specialized professional services and solutions to the National Guard, Navy and Army in areas such as IT, program management, business process re-engineering, personnel services, logistics, and engineering and consulting services. The company has about 150 employees and earned more than $17 million in 2007. SI International also recently announced that it has won a contract to support the Headquarters Air Force Space Command Directorate of Requirements, Space Situational Awareness and Command and Control Systems Division.
