FORT WORTH — A natural gas company has given at least one east-side resident until Monday to sign off on a pipeline beneath her front yard or face condemnation. The company, Chesapeake Energy’s Texas Midstream Gas Services, sent the "final offer" letter to Jerry Horton, who has organized a few holdout homeowners against the pipeline. It wasn’t clear whether other landowners got the same letter; Texas Midstream officials indicated, however, that they had sent more than one letter. Horton, a critic of Texas Midstream and Chesapeake, said, "I want everyone to know what they’re doing." Texas Midstream wants to run a 16-inch pipeline to a natural gas well that is planned on the western edge of the Tandy Hills Nature Center, just south of Interstate 30.
