TORONTO, July 24 (UPI) -- Gilles Simon pulled off one of the year's biggest tennis upsets Wednesday, eliminating Roger Federer in the second round of the Rogers Masters. The top-ranked Federer was playing for the first since since losing an epic Wimbledon final to Rafael Nadal. Simon, who won last week's ATP stop in Indianapolis, shocked Federer 2-6, 7-5, 6-4. Federer lost in the first round of a tournament in Dubai this year to Andy Murray. Federer and Nadal have met in the finals of four events this season -- two of them majors -- and Nadal has won them all. Nadal was also victorious Wednesday, coasting to a 6-4, 6-2 decision over qualifier Jesse Levine. Nikolay Davydenko, seeded fourth, advanced by defeating Tommy Haas 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) and fifth-seeded David Ferrer was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Robby Ginepri. James Blake, the...
