By ANDREW WOLFE Telegraph Staff awolfe@nashuatelegraph.com MERRIMACK – An Amherst man tried to elude police by driving his Jeep up Grater Road, but he got stuck in the mud and was arrested after a detective spotted him on foot and offered him a ride in an unmarked cruiser, police reported. Joseph Sullivan, 36, whose last known address was 53 Pond Parish Road, was held overnight and arraigned Wednesday in Merrimack District Court on charges of bail jumping and possession of marijuana, Merrimack police reported. No one at the Amherst police station could be reached Wednesday afternoon for information on any charges in that town.
