Update: Flooding Concerns Continue

Flash Flood Warning through 12:30 a.m. for D.C., central and eastern Fairfax County, Prince George's County, eastern Prince William County and Stafford County.* 11 p.m. update: Showers and thunderstorms continue to produce moderate to sometimes heavy rain across the metro area east of Loudoun County. Flooding is a significant threat in areas covered by the Flash Flood Warning over the next few hours as showers and storms move from southwest to northeast, repeatedly dousing the same areas. The whole line of precipitation will slowly drift eastward, with the threat of flooding diminishing from west to east after about 1 a.m. The National Weather Service warns: BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING.
