Dead Infant Found at Rural Australian Bus Stop

Homicide detectives are awaiting autopsy results on the body of an infant found at a rural bus shelter in a shopping bag. The infant was estimated to be between two weeks and three months old and was wrapped in blankets and dressed. Senior Constable Newman said there are three possibilities to consider in the infant's death. "One, that the baby was abandoned and died of hypothermia, that it was a SIDS death and the parents didn't know what to do, or it's a homicide." The bag containing the infant's corpse was first spotted at the bus stop around 7 a.m., but the body was not discovered until 5:30 p.m. when a man returning from work noticed the bag and examined it more...
