Wednesday, July 23, 2008 (Mumbai) The Bombay High Court on Wednesday has acquitted the two British nationals accused of paedophilia, sending shockwaves through child rights activists and the legal fraternity. Duncan Grant and Alan Waters will soon walk free absolved of child sexual abuse in Mumbai's infamous Anchorage case. Both Grant and Waters have been acquitted as the High Court found that the six years in jail awarded by a lower court was too harsh a penalty. It was a watershed case in 2006 when they were convicted of paedophilia and running an international sex racket from a shelter for street children in Mumbai.
