Elbow tightness ends Hudson's night

MIAMI -- Tim Hudson was forced to leave Wednesday night's start at Dolphin Stadium with tightness in his right elbow. The Braves announced that they'll re-evaluate the veteran right-hander on Thursday. After throwing 68 pitches in six scoreless innings against the Marlins, Hudson made his early exit. During the top of the seventh, he was seen in the dugout, rubbing his elbow while talking to Mike Hampton and some of his other teammates. Hudson, who is tied for second in the National League with 16 quality starts, had been the Braves' only veteran starter who had avoided injury this year. John Smoltz underwent season-ending shoulder surgery, and Tom Glavine has been out since June 10 with a left elbow injury.
