THE share market is expected to open higher today after US stocks rose modestly overnight amid another sharp decline in crude oil prices. At 7.22am (AEST) on the Sydney Futures exchange, the September share price index futures contract added 12 points to 5113. Today, Lion Nathan will release its third quarter trading update and GUD Holdings will reveal its annual results. Commonwealth Bank of Australia chief executive Ralph Norris will address Australian British Chamber of Commerce in Sydney. Health of the resources sectro will be gauged fruther today with both Newcrest and Santos releasing their forth and second quarter production reports, respectively.
