Netflix's Delivery

Netflix may have stolen the show at last week's annual gaming convention, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, held in Los Angeles, but investors are hoping for more glow this Friday when the Los Gatos, Calif., company releases its second-quarter earnings. Last week, Netflix (nasdaq: ) unveiled a long-rumored partnership with Microsoft (nasdaq: ) to deliver streaming video content, free to Netflix subscribers, via Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. That news, combined with the buzz surrounding the early sales success of the Roku Netflix player, may signal that the DVD mail-rental company was on the right track when it started investing in its "Watch Instantly" streaming service.
