Police were investigating after the second bank robbery in Halifax in two days. A man with a handgun robbed the Scotiabank on Spring Garden Road, one of the city's busiest streets, just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The man allegedly asked a bank teller for money then fled the scene, possibly toward the Dresden Row area. Police said they think the suspect entered a house nearby, and cordoned off the area for about an hour. "We tried to get access by knocking on doors and yelling in windows to the home, however nobody responded in the home," said Halifax Regional police Sgt. Joe Collins. "Sometime later, the actual owner of the home arrived back to the scene and said that indeed somebody did try to go into the home.
