Nigeria: Moyes Expecting Yakubu Back

Posted to the web 23 July 2008 Everton manager David Moyes says he is expecting to see newly-wed Nigerian striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni back at training within the week. Yakubu is one of Moyes' contingent of African players who were given more time off after being involved in a gruelling rash of 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifiers during the past summer. It will be a good experience for my wife and I with the sun and beaches and everything With their break over, the players are scheduled to return this week although Moyes stated that he only expected to see Yakubu, and South African international Steven Pienaar. "We're waiting for the arrival back over the next few days of Steven Pienaar and Yak. And then if we can get Mikel (Arteta) back into the fold and that will help as well," Moyes said.
