Blood samples of 1,300 persons are collected Committee happy with Rajiv Giribala Rakshana scheme Srikakulam: State SC/ST Welfare Committee Chairman K.Nagarjun on Wednesday toured fever-affected villages in Seethampeta mandal and reviewed the medical work in progress in the context of the hundreds of girijan community suffering from fever and malaria. District Medical and Health Officer Ramdas Naik who accompanied the Welfare Committee said 44 medical teams had been pressed into service to cover 530 girijan hamlets. Blood samples of 1,300 persons had been taken and 25 of them were said to be suffering from malaria. The committee expressed satisfaction over implementation of the Rajiv Giribala Rakshana scheme being implemented in the tribal areas for monitoring the health of girijan children in schools.
