Bruce Lietzke again in field for Tyrrell Park reunion golf

Bob West golf notepad for Wednesday, July 23 The Port Arthur News Champions Tour member Bruce Lietzke and Idylwild head pro Ronnie Pfleider have once again put out the call for the Tyrrell Park Junior Golfers Reunion event. This year’s gathering is set for the weekend of Sept. 19-21. The fourth reunion gathering — its held every three years — is played in honor of the late Henry Homberg and his wife Juel, and is open to anybody who played golf as a junior from 1942 to 1982 at Tyrrell Park. Eligible to enter are any Lamar University golfers during that period, any juniors who participated in junior tournaments at Tyrrell Park and anyone who particpated in junior high school and high school events at the Beaumont public course now known as Henry Homberg Municipal Golf Course.
