Writer recounts post-war mystery

Entertainment Writer What atrocity did Terese Svoboda's uncle witness when he served as a military policeman in occupied Japan in 1946? Svoboda, a writer of four books of poetry, several novels ("Tin God," "Cannibal") and short stories, was dragged into that mystery when her uncle began to send her hours of confessional tapes packed with his war stories.
