That is the question being asked by directors at a pioneering Tredegar-based company who are trying to push recycling to new limits. David Palmer and Andrew Price are directors at Bio Tech Oils UK, a company based on the Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate, which manufactures European standard biodiesel using recycled chip fat. The company has recently been granted planning permission for a pump to sell their own brand of diesel from the front of the factory for 122.9p a litre. Getting hold of used cooking oil can be expensive but the demand for biodiesel is increasing all the time.
