Prague- The Czech government approved today the Czech Republic's military strategy as well as the long-term vision of the Defence Ministry, but it did not accept the Foreign Ministry's comments, Defence Minister Vlasta Parkanova said. According to daily Pravo the Foreign Ministry recommended that the risk of an attack by mass destruction weapons be designed as a specific threat to the Czech Republic. The Defence Ministry, however, considers it a threat of a general character, according to Pravo. The long-term vision contains the direction and priorities of the Defence Ministry in the next 20 years, while the military strategy is a narrower document that counts, for instance, with the need to raise defence spending.
