GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Public utilities officials in Gainesville say an estimated 50,000 gallons of sewage spilled into Balus Tributary. Authorities said a city environmental specialist discovered the spill at about 10 a.m. Tuesday. He estimated the overflow lasted between 48 and 72 hours.
