Club Med UK has appointed Cogent Elliott to handle its £1.5 million marketing business sand Brilliant Media to handle planning and buying. The pitch involved seven agencies and was led by head of marketing Sarah Mason with the help of the Haystack Group. The incumbents Publicis and carat were involve dint he pitch. Cogent Elliott will handle advertising, direct marketing and online communications as well as CRM. The marketing will support brand management activity led by Club Med’s office in Paris. Part of the new agency’s focus will be to manage Club Med’s UK marketing plan to grow awareness and drive bookings. There will be a stronger focus on digital marketing with 70 per cent of activity using the online channel, as opposed to 30 per cent previously.
