Posted to the web 23 July 2008 Yemi Babafemi Ibadan As teachers in Nigerian public primary and secondary schools continue their strike, eminent legal practitioner, Chief Afe Babalola (SAN) yesterday in Ibadan advocated improved pay package for them, saying they deserved better remuneration in the overall interest of their students. Making the remarks while speaking at the official launch of "Adopt a School Programme and Identification Card Project" of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) where he was the Special Guest of Honour and Chairman of the occasion, Chief Afe Babalola decried the noticeable poor quality of education in most of the elementary public schools in the country.
