We arrived in St Thomas at around 8:00 and disembarked at around 8:15 for our excursion. It was an action-packed trip of kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling. We first drove there in a van to the eco-tours and were then given instructions, a snorkel, goggles, and a water bottle. We put our stuff in lockers and boarded kayaks. Dad fell off the kayak and into the water before we even left the dock! We paddled for about a mile before our guide (Jesse) stopped the herd of kayaks and told us about the importance of mangrove trees and the shelter provided for fish and boats during hurricanes.
