Associated Press - July 22, 2008 2:23 PM ET MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - According to his agent, Sebastian Telfair has agreed to a multiyear contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Telfair was pushed into a starting role for the Wolves last season, filling in for the injured Randy Foye. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.9 assists. SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The San Antonio Spurs have re-signed Kurt Thomas, keeping the veteran forward they traded for in February. The 6-foot-9 Thomas averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 28 games for the Spurs after coming over in a deal with Seattle. WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Nationals outfielder Wily (WIHL'-ee) Mo Pena had surgery today on his left shoulder and will miss the rest of the season.
