Student Union Not Open Enough For Community, Commissioners Say By Christopher Spencer THE MORNING NEWS FAYETTEVILLE -- University of Arkansas students want an early voting site on campus, but county election commissioners said they worry it won't be accessible to the general public. The university's student union could serve as an early voting site for two weeks leading up to the Nov. 4 general election, said Carter Ford, the associated student government president. The site would make it easier for the estimated 18,650 students to vote this fall, he said. John Logan Burrow, the Washington County Election Commission chairman, said the commission can't spend an estimated $16,000 in public money to establish an early voting site unless they believe the general public can find the polling place on campus and get to the site...
