Bath have signed versatile back Robbie Kydd on a one-year contract from newly-promoted Northampton Saints. Kydd, who can play at fly-half, full-back and in the centre, returns to the club having played at the Rec in the 2003/04 season. During his previous stint he played eight times and scored two tries and the former New Zealand U21 international has also played for Scotland in the Churchill Cup. The 26-year-old became a regular in the Saints side during their last Guinness Premiership campaign two seasons ago and scored a memorable try against Biarritz in the Heineken Cup that helped take Northampton into the European semi-finals.
