The Lebanese Higher Relief Council has finished the paperwork to rebuild 619 residential units in South Lebanon that were damaged or destroyed during the 2006 July War. Since 2006, the council has finished the paperwork for 2,439 residential units in South Lebanon and has provided the Council for South Lebanon with checks to be distributed to affected families amounting to $26,190,270. The residential units are located in several towns across the South, including Nabatiyeh, Markaba, Al-Ghaziyyeh and Ain Ebel.
