GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars grabbed their fifth walk-off win of the season Monday afternoon, beating the Lansing Lugnuts, 9-8, in 10 innings in front of 5,084 fans at Elfstrom Stadium. Matt Ray brought home Jake Smith with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to end the back-and-forth marathon slugfest. Each team scored four first-inning runs, as the Cougars drew even with a two-run double by Todd Johnson and RBI singles by Shane Keough and Ray to make it 4-4. Then the clubs traded runs for a 5-5 score before Jemile Weeks nailed a two-run single in the third to put the Cougars ahead, 7-5.
