Talk about establishing a local orchestra, and the prospect is symphony to her ears. “This is something I've been wanting to do since I've been here,” said the Rockport conductor, who is prominently recognized across the country for her energy and passion, as well as creative spirit when it comes to putting on a good show. “Since moving to Maine eight years ago, I imagined conducting concerts in Harbor Park with people listening to great orchestral music overlooking beautiful Camden Harbor,” she said. “During this time, I have worked with incredible musicians from Maine and New England who have expressed interest in forming an ensemble and working together.” That dream is now becoming a reality with the creation of...
