Posted on: Monday, 21 July 2008, 06:00 CDT In anticipation of the appearance of Ishmael Beah, author of A Long Way Gone: Adventures of a Boy Soldier at Millersville University, the League of Women Voters of Lancaster County has arranged for a discussion of his book. It will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Stauffer Mansion, 1241 Lititz Pike, with the assistance of Manheim Township Public Library. The free, public discussion will be led by school librarian Sharon Shuman. Registration is required; call the library at 560-6441. MU's incoming freshman class is reading Beah's book, which is based on his years as a child soldier in Sierra Leone.
