Jul 21 2008 By Ben Spencer Glasgow Folk Shamed Over Telly Licences GLASGOW is second only to London for TV licence dodgers - despite having 6.5million fewer people. A massive 11,661 were caught without a licence in the city in the first six months of 2008. The shock figure is almost as high as the total of the next nine worst places for dodgers in Scotland and just 4658 behind London. Glasgow featured at the head of the latest "league of shame" released by TV Licensing. The second worst in Scotland for evaders was Edinburgh, with 3326 cheats nabbed. The capital was the only other Scots city to make the UK list. Aberdeen had the third largest number of dodgers in Scotland, with 1661 offenders, followed by Dundee, Paisley, Bathgate and Kilmarnock, In all, there were more than 42,000 in Scotland in the first half of the year.
